The Yamaha Fazer 25 was recently launched with a dual-channel ABS unit and priced at Rs 1.43 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). But what options do you get in a similar budget? Here’s the list-
The Fazer 25 is a touring focused motorcycle with a full fairing. While there are no fully-faired motorcycles in this list, you do get a touring focused, naked motorcycle; the Mahindra Mojo UT300. The motorcycle offers a relaxed riding posture and a gets a distinctive-looking twin headlamp and dual exhaust canisters. It is powered by a 294cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, carburetted engine that produces 22.5bhp and 25.2Nm of torque. Mahindra has priced the Mojo UT300 at Rs 1.49 lakhs and is yet to update the bike with ABS.
If you want a riding position more relaxed than the Mojo, there is Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 and Thunderbird 350X priced at Rs 1.50 lakhs and Rs 1.56 lakhs respectively. While the Thunderbird 350 sports oodles of chrome, the 350X gets a custom motorcycle-like blacked-out look. Both motorcycles are powered by a 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, carburetted engine that is good for 19.8bhp and 28Nm of torque.
Royal Enfield also offers a classic-inspired motorcycle, the Classic 350 at Rs 1.52 lakhs. The modern-retro street bike is equipped with ABS and is the manufacturer’s highest selling model. It comes in an array of colours that are sold as different variants. In the price range of the Fazer 25 you will get the Classic 350 Gunmetal Grey which as its namesake, is offered in a grey paint scheme. It retails at Rs 1.53 lakhs for the ABS variant. The Classic 350 range uses the same 346cc, single-cylinder engine as the Thunderbird 350 which also features in this list.
In a streetfighter body style, there is the KTM 200 Duke carrying a price tag of Rs 1.60 lakhs for the ABS variant and Rs 1.51 lakhs for the non-ABS model. The motorcycle gets a 199cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 24.6bhp and 19.2Nm of torque.
