It’s going to be three months since the official launch of the Yamaha FZ FI and FZ S FI. At the time of the launch of these bikes, Yamaha didn’t say much about the Fazer FI but now we have few pictures of the facelifted Fazer that has been displayed in one of the showrooms in Gurgaon, Haryana.
Most of the changes like the split seats, new silencer, tyre hugger, redesigned fuel tank, tail lamp cluster, number plate holder and new instrument cluster come from the FZ S FI but there are few changes on the fairing that differentiates itself from the old model. The fairing has been heavily revised by giving it a much sharper styling, making the front fascia look very aggressive.
The new Yamaha Fazer FI 2.0 will be powered by the same engine that powers its non-faired motorcycles. The new Yamaha models are powered by a newly designed air-cooled 149cc four-stroke, SOHC, single-cylinder fuel-injected engine, which has been tweaked to deliver a better fuel efficiency. The engine now produces 13.1bhp of power and 12.8Nm of torque but with the introduction of Blue Core technology the fuel efficiency is expected to go up by 14 per cent.
Just like the updated FZ and FZ S, Yamaha will demand a premium of Rs 6,000 over the regular model. We are expecting Yamaha won't do an official launch event for this bike but just start selling it directly through their dealers. Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details on the Fazer FI V 2.0.
