- StandardFZ FI is now Rs 1,800 more expensive
- FZ X is dearer by Rs 1,600
Yamaha has increased the prices of its 150cc FZ series motorcycles in India this month. Thankfully, the hike is marginal, with the highest being at Rs 1,800 for the standard FZ FI and the least increment is for the FZ S FI at Rs 1,000. Meanwhile, the neo-retro version of these bikes, the FZ X is now Rs 1,600 more expensive than before. For the new buyers of these bikes, their latest ex-showroom (Delhi) prices are mentioned below:
Yamaha FZ FI: Rs 1,11,700
Yamaha FZ S FI: Rs 1,19,400
Yamaha FZ S FI (Deluxe variant): Rs 1,22,400
Yamaha FZ X: Rs 1,30,400
Apart from the prices, all other aspects of the FZ series models have remained unchanged. All of them are powered by a common 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that churns out 12.2bhp of power and 13.3Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox along with a conventional clutch. There’s a difference in the fuel tank capacity of the sporty FZ models and the FZ X; the former gets a 13-litre fuel tank while the latter sports a smaller 10-litre unit.
The main difference between the standard FZs and the FZ X is on the styling front. The FZ X is inspired by the modern-retro XSR series of motorcycles that are sold abroad. Whereas, the FZ FI and FZ S FI are sportier-looking street bikes with muscular and sharp body panels. If you want more insights on the differences between these motorcycles, click here.
