Safety is an important aspect when it comes to riding motorcycles. Adhering to keep the same aspect in check, India Yamaha Motor has issued a recall of the FZ FI and FZ-S FI 149cc models. With 7,757 units affected in total, the voluntary recall has been issued on non-fitment of the rear side reflectors. Notably, the motorcycles manufactured since October 2019 have been affected by the recall.
With immediate effect, the bike maker will be individually contacting the owners of the affected vehicles and the missing rear side reflectors will be installed for no additional cost at any of the authorized Yamaha dealerships. The recall has been issued in compliance with the statutory safety norms and does not affect the vehicle’s performance in any matter.
Yamaha had launched the BS6 compliant editions of the FZ FI and FZ-S FI in November 2019 carrying a sticker price of Rs 99,200 and Rs 1.01 lakhs, respectively.
