- Powered by a 149cc single-cylinder motor
- Retains the mechanicals, features, and design cues
Yamaha India has launched the FZ-S FI V4 in two new colours – Dark Matte Blue and Matte Black. Both paint schemes will be sold alongside the existing options offered by the brand – Metallic Black, Matte Grey and Majestic Black. Apart from the new colours, the FZ-S V4 remains as it was before.
The butch-looking fascia and bulky bodywork have been retained. The FZ-S FI V4 gets the same scooped seat and commuter riding stance with neutrally placed footpegs and a wide handlebar. The engine, features, and hardware is also the same for the FZ-S FI V4.
Powering the FZ-S FI V4 is a 149cc single-cylinder that makes 12.2bhp and 13.3Nm. It’s linked to a six-speed gearbox. The list of features includes LED illumination, ABS, and a fully digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity. It gives you access to call alerts, SMS and e-mail notifications, phone battery status, and more.
Meanwhile, the hardware comprises telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks along with a 282mm front and 220mm rear disc. These are mounted on 17-inch wheels shod with a 100/80 front and 140/60 rear tyre.
The asking price of the Yamaha FZ-S FI V4 in the new colours is Rs. 1,28,900. It rivals the Suzuki Gixxer, Honda CB Hornet 160R, and the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
