- Updated models were showcased at a dealer event
- Both bikes will get a TFT screen and turn-by-turn navigation
- Prices will receive a marginal hike
Yamaha will soon launch the updated models of its popular motorcycles, the FZ S and FZ X. We have got our hands on a few images of these bikes being showcased at what looks like a dealer event, giving away the nature of updates they will receive.
The FZ S and FZ X will soon come with Yamaha’s Hybrid technology which has been incorporated in the Fascino 125 and Ray ZR 125 for a long time. Aimed at improving the energy efficiency of these bikes, this Hybrid system includes a Smart Motor Generator (SMG) which charges the battery and works with the engine to deliver a mild torque boost for a quicker acceleration. The advantages of this technology also includes silent engine starting action and idling engine start-stop function.
Both bikes will also get a new TFT screen which will replace the LCD unit on their existing counterparts. Besides showing vital information, this screen will feature Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Lastly, new colour options for both bikes will also be on offer. We are expecting the rest of the aspects of these bikes to remain unchanged. While the FZ S will come in six new paint schemes, the FZ X will receive four new shades.
The existing model of the Yamaha FZ S is priced at Rs. 1,30,700 (standard) and Rs. 1,31,200 (deluxe), Meanwhile, the prices of the FZ X go up to Rs. 1,40,500 (all prices are ex-showroom). The upcoming models will certainly demand a marginal premium over their existing counterparts.
