- Chrome is the most expensive variant now
- Rs. 1,500 more expensive than Dark Matte trim
Yamaha has launched the new Chrome and Metallic Black colour variants of the FZ-X in India with a price tag of Rs. 1,39,700 and Rs. 1,36,200, respectively (both prices are ex-showroom). These trims get a different visual treatment while their mechanicals remain unchanged. Interestingly, Yamaha is also giving Casio G-Shock watches during delivery to the first 100 customers booking one of these variants online.
Yamaha has bestowed the Chrome trim of the FZ X with a chrome-finished fuel tank and headlamp bezel. It also gets ‘FZ-X’ in the same golden colour as the wheels. Meanwhile, the Metallic Black version carries a blacked-out theme all across. The rest of the motorcycle remains identical to other variants. The design is inspired by the XSR 155 with a round headlamp, a bulbous fuel tank, and a chunky single-piece seat with a ribbed pattern. On the feature front, there’s a single-channel ABS, traction control system, Bluetooth-enabled digital console, full-LED lighting, and a side-stand engine cut-off switch.
Powering the bike is a 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 12.2bhp and 13.3Nm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by telescopic forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Braking is handled by a single disc at both ends. The motorcycle weighs just 139kg (kerb) and boasts a fuel tank capacity of 10 litres.
