- FZ25 gets two colours, FZS 25 gets three colours
- Powered by a 249cc single-cylinder engine
Yamaha recently launched the BS6-compliant FZ25 and FZS 25 in India priced at Rs 1.52 lakh and Rs 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.
The manufacturer is offering the motorcycles in a total of five paint options. The FZ 25 is offered in Metallic Black and Racing Blue colours. On the other hand, the higher-spec FZS 25 is available in a choice of three colours.
These are the Patina Green colour, White-Vermillion, and Dark Matt Blue options. Moreover, the FZS 25 also comes with gold-finished alloy wheels. Further differentiating the FZS 25 from the standard variant is the added accessories. The variant comes with a taller windscreen and knuckle guards.
Nevertheless, apart from this the BS6-compliant FZ25 and FZS 25 remain identical to each other. Powering the motorcycles is a 249cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is tuned for touring and city riding. It produces 20.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 20.1Nm at 6,000rpm.
While the FZS 25 is already available in dealerships across India, the FZ 25 will be available soon. As for competition, the motorcycle goes up against the Bajaj Dominar 250.
