- A total of seven accessories are being offered for the FZ-FI and FZS-FI models
- Available at all authorised Yamaha dealerships
Yamaha India gave its FZ and FZS models a new lease of life by introducing the third generation models last month. Contributing a lion share to the overall sales for the company, Yamaha has now introduced accessories for the motorcycles. While a few of these accessories are intended purely to enhance the overall look of the motorcycle, the rest have a thoughtful purpose.
Tank pad:
It is designed to prevent the zip of your jacket or the belt buckle from coming in contact with the tank, thus protecting it from getting scratched. Besides that, it also enhances the bike’s look. Yamaha retails the tank pad at Rs 175.
Skid plate:
It often happens that on encountering bad roads or tall speed-breakers, the underbody of the motorcycle gets scratched or damaged. In order to prevent this, Yamaha has introduced a skid plate that takes the beating and provides protection to the underchassis. Durable and lightweight in construction, the skid plate costs Rs 300.
Rear footrest:
This accessory is particularly for a side saddle pillion passenger. Positioned on the left side, just below the rear footpeg, it allows easy footing for both feet. Priced at Rs 400, it is a thoughtful accessory for the Indian market.
USB charger:
Conveniently located on the handlebar, the USB charger allows easy charging of electronic devices like mobile phone and GPS on the move. Connected to the bike’s 12v battery, the charger is unlikely to be weatherproof. On price point, the USB charger retails at Rs 750.
Graphics set:
Meant to accentuate the bike's overall look, the graphics set consists of highlights for the fuel tank, tank extensions, side panels and tail section. Priced at Rs 800, the company recommends this accessory for the Racing Blue colour scheme.
Engine guard:
The engine guard has been designed by Yamaha engineers for a perfect fit while benefiting the rider and the motorcycle in the event of a fall. While the guard prevents the rider’s foot from getting caught under the bike, it also protects the motorcycle's engine and a few other parts from getting damaged. With rust protection coating and easy fitment, the engine guard is priced at Rs 800.
Seat cover:
Sporting a stylish design with stitches along the edges and a hot pressed Yamaha logo on the side of pillion seat, this seat cover is easy to install. It prolongs the overall life of the seat. It is priced at Rs 300.
