Yamaha recently launched the FZS 25 BS6 in India with a price tag of Rs 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom). The naked motorcycle comes with a few cosmetic changes, new features, and a BS6-compliant engine. Here, we list down five highlights of the new FZS 25.
Refreshed styling
The new Yamaha FZS 25’s retains the design silhouette of the previous version. It features a muscular fuel-tank, split seat setup, and an edgy tail section. However, the new FZS 25 comes with sharper tank shrouds with faux air intakes and a new, aggressive-looking headlamp with full-LED lighting.
New features
Apart from the LED lighting, the FZS 25 also comes with updated features like- a negative LCD instrument cluster, an underbelly cowl as well as a side-stand engine cut off switch that prevents the motorcycle from cranking up if the stand is down.
Added accessories
The higher-spec FZS 25 differs from the standard model in terms of added accessories. The motorcycle comes with a taller windscreen as well as body coloured knuckle guards.
Colours
The FZS 25 is available in a choice of three colour options- Patina Green, White-Vermillion, and Dark Matt Blue. These paint schemes also sport gold-finished alloy wheels.
BS6-compliant engine
Powering the new FZS 25 is the same 249cc, single-cylinder engine that has now been revised to comply with BS6 emission norms. This air-cooled motor produces 20.5bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 20.1Nm of torque at 6,000rpm.
