The FZ-S Fi has been one of Yamaha’s biggest cash cows since its debut in 2014 apart from the R15, ofcourse. That said, it recently received an update that was limited to its design. So if you are looking to buy the Yamaha FZ-S FI, here is all that you need to know about the motorcycle.
Design
The design of the Yamaha FZ-X has been widely unchanged recently, retaining the beefy fuel-tank with faux intakes and a low-set, headlamp for a radical look. It even gets an engine cowl, step-up seat, and a side-slung exhaust. The FZ-X is offered in a DLX variant that sports different graphics, golden-coloured alloy wheels, as well as a dual-tone seat. However, this dual-tone seat, is only available in Metallic Black and Metallic Deep Red colours.
Variants and colours
Yamaha updated the colour palette on the FZ-S Fi that is offered in two variants- Standard and DLX. While the standard model gets two colours- Matte Red and Matte Blue, the DLX version is available in three colours. These are Metallic Black, Metallic Deep Red and Solid Gray.
Engine
The Yamaha FZS-Fi is powered by a BS6-compliant, 149cc, single-cylinder engine that is air-cooled. This motor is tuned to churn out 12.2bhp at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Hardware
The hardware remains unaltered too and the Yamaha FZS-Fi retains the telescopic front forks and preload-adjustable rear mono-shock that handle suspension duties. Meanwhile, braking is done by single discs on both wheels while the safety net includes a single-channel ABS.
Price
The standard variant of the FZS-Fi is priced at Rs 1,15,900 whereas the DLX variant is available at Rs 1,18,900 (ex-showroom Delhi)..
