India Yamaha Motors has reported that its overall sales in September 2015 increased by 13 per cent. The company sold 67,267 units in September as compared to 59,325 units in the same month corresponding year.
When it comes to exports, the Japanese manufacturer exported 15,612 units as compared to 12,076 units in September 2014, registering a growth of 29 per cent. The Saluto and the Fascino have been contributing the most to Yamaha’s overall sales in India. In order to fuel its growth, Yamaha launched the single-seat version of the R15, called the YZF R15-S. Other than this, it introduced new colour schemes on the FZ-S FI and the Fazer FI.
"The incessant growth numbers are a sign of success of Yamaha’s robust business plan and strategic customer engagement programs. The month has ended on a very positive note for us as we launched the new variant of YZF–R15S and the color variants of FZ-S Fuel Injector version and FAZER Fuel Injector version. Ahead of the festive season, we are confident that our recent launches and innovative customer connect programs will garner major sales for us and we will be able to post some record numbers in the coming months," said Roy Kurian, vice-president, sales & marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales.
