Yamaha India has sold a total of 49,460 units in May as compared to 36,956 units in the same month last year registering a growth of 34 per cent.
The company registered a rise of 30 per cent in the domestic market where they managed to sell 34,104 units as compared to 26,287 units in May last year. In the export market, the Japanese manufacturer registered 44 per cent growth by selling 15,356 units as compared to 10,666 in the corresponding month last year.
The total increase in sales is largely due to the Ray scooter. A few days ago, Yamaha launched the Yamaha Ray-Z and the updated SZ series to expand their portfolio and maximise their sales in India.
