Yamaha Motor India has registered an increase of 28 per cent in overall sales in November 2013. The company sold 57,160 units in November as compared to 44,688 units in the same month last year.
In the domestic market, the company registered a growth of 7 per cent at 39,777 from 37,344 units in the corresponding month last year. In the Export markets, the company sold 17,383 units in November 2013 as compared to 7,344 units sold in the same month last year achieving a growth of 137 per cent. Yamaha’s scooter range, the Ray and the Ray-Z has helped the company to gain the additional sales.
"We are very pleased with our consistent sales performance this year at a 34% average sales growth that can be attributed to our strong product portfolio, upbeat customer confidence and new launches in the scooter segment. We are extremely positive about our special edition FZ series motorcycle, new scooters Ray Precious Edition and Ray Z. The scooter segment has also caught on and is expected to be the growth driver for the two wheeler industry.
