Yamaha Motor India launched the Alpha at the 2014 Auto Expo. This launch didn’t gain much attention as the arena was shared by the R25 concept. To start with, the Alpha's sales have notvbeen as expected and may be that is why the company is offering a cosmetic kit for the scooter now.
The kit consists of set of racing decals which has “Alpha α” written over it. These decals can be seen on the front apron, mudguard and side panels. The entire set costs around Rs 625, which can be bought from dealerships.
The Alpha is powered by an air-cooled 4-stroke 113cc engine with CVT (continuous variable transmission). This powertrain ensures smooth start-up acceleration and pickup along with great fuel efficiency. The company claims a fuel efficiency of 62kmpl. The bike also comes in five colours- white, black, grey, purple and red.
Yamaha Motor India is known to update their product portfolio with the help of decals. But this usually happens when the scooter or motorcycle is little old and has been in the market for more than a year.
