Yamaha India registers 29 per cent growth in March 2014

Yamaha India has posted a jump of 29 per cent in its domestic sales figures for March 2014. Yamaha managed to sell 46,052 units in March 2014 as against 35,782 it sold in March 2013. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer also posted a marginal 3.4 per cent increase in its exports for the last month.

Commenting on the sales figures, Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd, said, “This month has indeed been an exceptional month for us as we were able to witness a brisk growth due to our superb product line-up and innovative customer centric activities. We are focused on expanding our sales & service network across the country to get closer to our customer base. We shall continue with our endeavors as far as customer engagement program is considered.”

Yamaha recently launched a new 113cc unisex scooter, the Alpha, which has managed to grab a lot of attention as well as bookings. The company claims that it has managed to secure 3,500 bookings of the scooter just from Bangalore within a month of its launch.

Yamaha also undertook different customer engagement programs, like the safety program for kids, which ensured a good exposure for the company. Yamaha recently updated four of its 150cc offerings, the R15 V2.0, FZ-S, FZ16 and the Fazer with all-new colour schemes.
