Yamaha India has launched a new colour variant of its commuter motorcycle, the Yamaha Saluto. The commuter Yamaha can now be had in the matte green colour scheme similar to other sportier motorcycles from the manufacturer.
The motorcycle is primarily black with highlights of matte green and yellow. The new colour variant of the bike will be available in both versions - drum brake and disc brake. The matte green version of the drum and disc brake equipped motorcycle is priced Rs 53,600 (Ex-showroom Delhi) and Rs 56,100 Ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said “Since its launch, Saluto has gained immense popularity in the commuter segment. The launch of new vibrant colour schemes and graphics of Saluto are in line with Yamaha’s promise to constantly delight its customers. While the core concept of Saluto remains the same, Yamaha strives to continuously interact and excite its target audience with the new products and services.”
The Yamaha Saluto is powered by a 125cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, carburetted mill that produces 8.2bhp of power and 9.8Nm of torque. This motor comes mated to a four-speed gearbox. The motorcycle weighs 112kg and the Japanese firm claims that with the new 'Blue Core' technology the bike will deliver a good fuel economy.
