Yamaha recently showcased the Lander 250 at the Bharat Mobility Expo 250. This Hero Xpulse 200 4V rival is sold in the Brazilian market and was shown in India to gauge customer interest. Here is a quick look at the bike.
The design of the Lander 250 is quite purposeful. There’s a prominent beak, an LED headlight, and a slim fuel tank. The tank extensions, however, add to the visual mass. Move to the rear portion of the bike and one can see the single-piece seat, small tail section and the high mount exhaust pipe. The position of the exhaust pipe will help while crossing streams while riding off-road.
The Lander 250 is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder engine that produces 20.5bhp and 20.6Nm of torque. It is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
The bike has a double cradle frame, with a telescopic fork at one end and a monoshock at the other. The front suspension has a healthy, 220mm travel while at the rear, there is 204mm travel. The bike rides on wire-spoke wheels with a disc brake at the front and the rear.
As for the features, the Lander 250 has an LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. There is a 12V charger as well.
Yamaha will be gauging customer response before deciding on launching the Lander 250 in India.
