- 2020 Yamaha MT 15 BS6 launched
- Rs 4,000 more expensive than the BS4 model
- Gets a new white paint scheme
Yamaha has finally launched the BS6 version of its 150cc naked bike, the MT 15. The brand also unveiled the new FZ25 which gets more than just BS6 engine upgrades.
The 2020 MT 15 is now available in three colour options - metallic black, dark matte blue and white with orange wheels. The bike now costs Rs 1.4 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) which is Rs 4000 more than the BS4 model. For the extra Rs 4000, Yamaha is offering a BS6 compliant engine with a revised power figure. The Japanese brand hasn't touched the aesthetics of it nor it has added any new features.
The MT 15 is a naked version of the R15. However, it was priced on the higher side making it less tempting than its super sport sibling. With the new BS6 model, the company would want to gain additional market share in the segment. It's nearest rival, the KTM 125 Duke sells twice as much and is helping KTM quite a lot in the country.
