Yamaha Motor India has announced the new “Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X” – a Bluetooth connectivity application for its FZ series. This feature will be initially available with the FZS-FI Dark Knight BS6 variant. However, the complete FZ-FI and FZS-FI (150cc) BS6 motorcycle range can be upgraded to this technology. Existing owners of the BS6-compliant FZ-FI and FZS-FI motorcycles can buy the device as an extra accessory.
With the introduction of the new Bluetooth connectivity feature the FZS-FI Dark knight is now available at Rs 1,07,700 (ex-showroom Delhi), and its sale will commence from 1 November, 2020 onwards.
The Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X application is available on Google Play Store and iOS App Store for free. The smartphone application offers access to features like answer back, e-lock, locate my bike, and hazard light functions. The answer back feature is not related to incoming calls. Instead, it starts all indicators and the horn to easily locate the bike in crowded parking.
The Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X app also offers information about the trip such as distance, average speed, brake count, and the battery voltage.
