Yamaha India has launched the ABS-equipped variants of its FZ25 and Fazer 25 models priced at Rs 1.33 lakhs and Rs 1.43 lakhs (both ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively. The prices were announced during the launch of the new FZ V3.0, read about it here.
Like the YZF R15 V3, the Japanese manufacturer has updated the FZ25 and Fazer 25 with dual-channel ABS. Sharing the same underpinnings, the FZ 25 sports a naked street bike look while the Fazer 25 carries a half-faired tourer styling. Mechanically both motorcycles remain exactly the same, apart from the safety update. The motorcycles are powered by a 249cc air-cooled engine that produces 20.3bhp of max power at 8000rpm and 20Nm of peak torque at 6000rpm. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox.
In addition to the existing colour shades of black, blue and white for the FZ25, and soulful cyan and rhythmic red for the Fazer 25, Yamaha has included a new dark matte blue colour for both motorcycles. The Fazer 25 gets an additional metallic black shade as well.
