The new updates include blue, black and white colour options. For the revised blue colour, the fairing gets more blue and the rear gets a silver finish. The new black has a matte finish as compared to the glossy black option which was available earlier, along with new graphics. Yamaha also offers a white and black colour scheme with a hint of yellow in the graphics.
Internationally, the model will be Euro 4 compliant, and will be available for sale in European markets from August this year. The YZF-R3 uses a 321cc twin cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC engine which delivers 42bhp of power at 10,750rpm and 29.6Nm of torque at 9,000rp mated to a six-speed transmission.
The company has not yet divulged details about the launch date for the BS-IV variant. However, we can expect these paint schemes to be launched in India with the BS-IV compliant YZF-R3 in the next few months. The YZF-R3 competes with the Kawasaki Ninja 300, the KTM RC 390 and the upcoming Benelli Tornado 302.
