India Yamaha Motors is all set to launch a new scooter for the Indian market tomorrow. The company is tight-lipped about the launch, but we believe it could be the Nozza Grande – a 125cc scooter.
The Nozza Grande 125 has been developed keeping in Asian consumers in mind. Vietnam is the biggest market for this scooter. The company sells fuel-injected versions in few markets, but we can expect our market to get the carburetted variant to keep costs in check. We won’t be surprised if Yamaha tweaks the design of the Nozza Grande 125 for the Indian market and gives it a new name.
We are expecting this scooter to undercut the Vespa LX 125 but it will be priced above the Honda Activa 125. This scooter could be the last one from the company’s portfolio for this year. We are hoping the next launch from the company would be the highly anticipated Yamaha YZF-R25 or the R3.
