Yamaha Indonesia has released a new teaser video hinting at the launch of a new naked motorcycle on June 6. Titled Nakedvolution, the video shows action shots and close ups of a naked twin-cylinder motorcycle, though it stops short of confirming that the motorcycle is the MT-25.
The teaser invites the Indonesians to a ‘biker street night party’ on June 6, where we can expect the company to unveil the new motorcycle. The MT-25 is the stripped down, streetfighter version of the YZF-R25 supersports motorcycle, built around the same lightweight diamond-type semi-trellis steel frame. The MT-25 is powered by the same 250cc parallel-twin engine, which packs 35.5bhp and 22.1Nm of torque, which is sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed transmission.
Following the R25, Yamaha unveiled a bigger YZF-R3 motorcycle for the European markets which used a rebored version of the same engine, displacing 321cc. We can safely expect Yamaha to launch a similar and more powerful MT-03 version of the motorcycle for a few other global markets, a few months down the line. We can expect more details to be revealed as we get closer to the launch date of the motorcycle.
