Finally there’s a new video on the revolutionary product from Yamaha. The company has revealed a teaser video of the much awaited Motobot project on its official YouTube channels.
Yamaha’s Motobot project is all about a creating a product that will help the company develop the next generation rider safety technologies. In 2015, it revealed a concept motorcycle that can be ridden up to 100kmph by a robot. It can also do a bit of cornering and slalom. By 2017, the Japanese manufacturer wanted this motorcycle to be ridden at a racetrack and reach 200kmph.
Recently, Yamaha filed a trademark application for a new brand, Motoroid and we think that’s the new name for the Motobot motorcycle. In the trademark filings, there were mention about self-balancing motorcycles and stability control systems for bikes. The teaser video revealed very little information of this project but at the end there was a sound of a battery operated motorcycle. This makes us believe that the Japanese manufacturer will reveal an electric two-wheeler at the upcoming 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
We’re as excited as you are. Stay tuned to BikeWale for more information.
