India Yamaha Motor has formed Yamaha Motor India Sales (YMSI) as separate entity which will handle sales and marketing. Earlier sales, marketing, manufacturing and R&D all were under India Yamaha Motor. But with this new entity, sales and marketing will be given top most and the only priority. It also will help them reduce costs and break into profits.
"Yamaha sees great potential in the Indian market and this vertical would aim at connecting with a larger customer base with innovative marketing strategies," the company said in a statement.
Masaki Asano will be heading the Yamaha Motor India Sales (YMSI) as the managing director. He will be assisted by Jun Nakata as director, Roy Kurian as sales & marketing group head, Ravinder Singh as strategy planning group head and Takehiko Yamazaki as parts operation group head.
