- Both bikes get new colour schemes
- Updated models unveiled internationally
- Yamaha India only sells the MT-03
Yamaha has launched the updated MT-03 and the MT-25 in the international market. Both models have received new colours for 2024.
The MT-03 is now available in a new paint scheme of Icon Blue which is identical to the R3’s paint scheme. The wheels and fuel tank come draped in Blue whereas the seat, headlight cowl, and the remaining areas are coloured in Black. The asking price for the MT-03 in India is set at Rs. 4.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Yamaha India is yet to reveal whether the Icon Blue coloured will debut here.
On the other hand, the Malaysian market gets the MT-25, which also gets a twin-cylinder engine, but it is a 249cc unit. The MT-25 is now offered in a new colour of Midnight Black and Midnight Cyan. Both paint schemes for the MT-25 are similar to what we see on the India-spec MT-03. Its asking price is set at MYR 23,998 (approximately Rs.4.24 lakh sans taxes) in Malaysia.
The MT-03 is notably expensive when compared to other 300cc bikes in India. This is a result of it being imported to the country as a CBU motorcycle which demands a lot of heavy taxation. But what you get with the MT-03 is a reliable engine with commendable performance. It not only accelerates to 12,000 rpm but also feels smooth and well packed.
