Yamaha MT 15 gets massive price increase!

- Yamaha hikes MT 15 prices

- Increased by up to Rs 5,000

- No changes to cosmetic and mechanicals

We recently reported about the Yamaha R15 V3 getting a price hike and now, the manufacturer has also bumped the prices of its naked sibling- the MT 15 in the country.

The Yamaha MT 15 is offered in three colours- Metallic Black and Dark Matte Blue. These paint schemes were earlier priced at Rs 1,40,900, However, with the hike in prices, these colours now retail at Rs 1,45,900; a premium of Rs 5,000 over the previous pricing. Meanwhile, the Ice Fluo Vermillion has received a Rs 4,000 hike and also costs Rs 1,45,900 now.

The price increase has not changed the Yamaha MT 15 cosmetically or mechanically and it continues to come powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with the VVA technology. Nevertheless, the reason for this hike could be to fill the gap between the current models and the upcoming Bluetooth-equipped models.
