Yamaha has launched the updated MT-15 in Thailand and the Japanese naked bike has received a refresh with new paint schemes on offer for 2024. The bike now comes draped in Racing Blue, Matt Black, and Metallic Gray. For reference, the Indian market gets the MT-15 in Racing Blue, Metallic Black, Cyan Storm, Ice Fluo Vermillion, Dark Matte Blue, Mattalic Black, and MotoGP paint schemes.
Apart from the new colours, the 2024 Yamaha MT-15 remains the same on the design, features, and mechanical front. It sports the same fascia with an LED projector at the centre and brow-shaped LED DRLs. Powering the 2024 model is a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes 18.1bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and gets a VVA system too.
The features list on the Yamaha MT-15 includes LED illumination, traction control, ABS, a full and digital console with smartphone connectivity for call alerts, SMS and e-mail alerts, phone battery level, last parked location, and malfunction notifications.
It rides on USD front forks and a monoshock while the braking hardware comprises a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS. These are mounted on 17-inch wheels shoed with road-biased tyres.
In Thailand, the 2024 Yamaha MT-15 is priced at TBH 1,10,000 (approximately Rs. 2.32 lakh sans taxes). For reference, the top-spec MotoGP trim of the MT-15 is priced at Rs. 1,73,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
