Yamaha unveiled their new naked street motorcycle, the MT-09 last week and now has revealed the prices of this machine in US, Canada, Germany and UK. The MT-09 motorcycle retails for $ 7990 (Rs 4.67 lakh) in US, $8990 (Rs 5.16 lakh) in Canada, £ 6799 (Rs 6.24 lakh) in UK and € 7496 (Rs 5.86 lakh) in Germany.
The MT-09 boasts Yamaha’s first inline three-cylinder 850cc liquid-cooled engine which churns out 115PS of power at 10,000rpm and 87.5Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. The MT-09 is a light and compact model with raw and linear torque output. It features a slim and lightweight C die-cast aluminum swingarm, monocross rear suspension with horizontal shock and upside down shock in the front. The bike has an all-new lightweight 10-spoke allow wheels which are fitted with newly-developed radial tubeless tyres – 120/70ZR17 at the front and 180/55ZR17 at the rear. The front wheel gets 298mm hydraulic dual disc and 245mm hydraulic single disc in the rear.
The motorcycle gets a decent 14-litre fuel tank with knee recesses to ensure comfortable riding position and has a manageable kerb weight of 188kg.The MT-09 will be available in four colours – Deep Armor, Blazing Orange,Matt Grey and Race Blu.
There is a possibility that the Yaamaha MT-09 will come to India in a while, considering the fact that the Japanese maker used to sell the MT-01 in India at a very competitive price.
