- Discontinued throughout the country
- Updated model could be launched in the next couple of months
Yamaha India has taken the MT-15 off the shelves and we’ve confirmed the same from a bunch of dealers based across the country. We reached out to Yamaha for the same, but there’s no comment from the officials so far.
The MT-15 has been on sale for a few years now and Yamaha had updated it only on the cosmetic front with a few new paint schemes. Apart from that, the bike had been the same in terms of features and mechanical bits.
Not to mention, its sales too dipped in the past months and the price hike wasn’t going to do any good. With that being said, the R15 V4’s launch left the enthusiasts with hope that the MT-15 too would benefit from its updates. For instance, USD forks, dual-channel ABS and a possible Bluetooth compatible console too.
As per our sources, Yamaha could launch the updated MT-15 in India by late April or early May. It won’t be a surprise if the new set of features bring in a premium over the latest asking price.
