Yamaha has taken a very fashionable approach with their new outlet. It has opened a new scooter boutique store in Chennai.
This new outlet has been named as ‘Bikerz’ but is home to only scooters and fashion accessories. Spread over 3100sqft, this premium setup will showcase Yamaha scooters along with its sales. There’s also a service center within the facility. Other than this, the Japanese manufacturer will offer a host of fashion accessories for sale.
The company currently sells four scooters in the country – Fascino, Alpha, Ray-Z and the Ray ZR. Yamaha’s products are known to be stylish and focused towards the younger audience. With outlets like this, Yamaha is trying to increase its brand value and associate more with customers who are brand and style conscious.
We believe the new boutique store could become much more than just a premium sales and service establishment. Yamaha could use the same store to display premium scooters and gauge public reactions. It can also become a place for customer engagements and know their two-wheeler preferences. The feedback can be used to develop future products.
