- Yamaha Nmax 155 is based on the YZF-R15 platform
- Powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled motor
- India launch under consideration
Yamaha has unveiled the Nmax 155 maxi scooter in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024. The scooter is based on the Yamaha R15 and gets the same engine as the sportsbike.
The Yamaha Nmax 155 features sleek bodywork and maxi-scooter styling with a large front fascia and feet-forward seating position. The fascia is flanked by a tall windscreen and LED lighting, while the rest of the bodywork comprises majorly blacked-out panels.
The Nmax 155 uses a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor, which is also seen on the Yamaha Aerox 155, R15 V4, and the MT-15. The engine produces 14.9bhp and 13.5Nm and comes paired with a CVT unit.
The list of features includes full-LED lighting and an LCD instrument cluster. The Yamaha Nmax 155 makes for an enticing proposition, given the performance and convenience it offers. The good news is that Yamaha is evaluating the Nmax 155 for India, and it should be launched later this year.
