- Yamaha R15 V3 price increased
- Each variant gets hike of Rs 2500
- No mechanical or cosmetic changes
The Yamaha R15 V3 is now Rs 2,500 more expensive in India. The Japanese manufacturer increased the prices of the fully-faired motorcycle, which will be in effect from this month itself.
The R15 V3 is available in four colours at different pricing. The Metallic Red and Thunder Grey paint schemes which retailed at Rs 1,52,100 are now priced at Rs 1,54,600 each. Yamaha had previously priced the Racing Blue colour at Rs 1,53,200 which now costs Rs 1,55,700. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line Dark Knight paint scheme has been priced at Rs 1,56,700; an increase from Rs 1,54,200.
However, the increase in price has not brought any changes to the Yamaha R15 V3. It continues to come powered by the 155cc, single-cylinder engine with VVA technology that produced 18.3bhp and 14.1Nm. It offers features like a full-LED headlamp, dual-channel ABS, and an LCD instrument cluster as standard.
Yamaha is likely to have increased the price of the R15 V3 to lessen the gap between the standard and upcoming Bluetooth-equipped model. However, it is still much more affordable than its rival- the KTM RC 125 which costs Rs 1.70 lakh.
