- Price hiked by Rs 600 for standard and top-spec Darknight variant
- Base variant now priced at Rs 1,40,880 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
- Limited Edition MotoGP variant receives no price hike
Yamaha Motor India has hiked the prices of its premium 150cc faired supersport, the YZF-R15 V3.0, by Rs 600 for the standard and top-spec Darknight variants with no change in the price of limited MotoGP edition. Usually where manufacturers tend to implement price drops or cashback schemes to attract maximum sales during the festive season, the Indian arm of the Japanese bike maker has instead opted to hike the price of its popular model. For its segment, while it might be a marginal hike, the company authorities haven’t mentioned any specific reason and are calling it a normal hike in price.
Now, if you are planning to bring home a spanking new R15 V3, the base variant will set you back by Rs 1,40,880 followed by the top-spec Darknight at Rs 1,42,880. The MotoGP Limited Edition continues to retail at Rs 1,42,780. All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi. Till now, the base variant of the R15 V3 came with a price tag of Rs 1,40,280 and the Darknight variant was priced at Rs 1,42,280.
Besides the price hike, the motorcycle remains the same mechanically and cosmetically. In India, the R15 V3 is available in four colour options- Thunder Grey, Racing Blue, Darknight and MotoGP Limited Edition. In its segment, the motorcycle faces competition from KTM RC125, Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and the Suzuki Gixxer SF.
