Yamaha Motor India recently launched the Monster Energy MotoGP edition of its fully-faired offering, the YZF R15 V4, in India. As the Japanese bike maker added this new trim to the R15 series, it also increased the prices of the existing variants of the motorcycle. While the R15S received a price hike of Rs 1,000, the V4 variants became dearer by Rs 1,500. Now, following the price revision, the new variant-wise ex-showroom prices of the bike are mentioned below:
Metallic Red: Rs 1,78,900
Dark Knight Rs 1,79,900
Racing Blue: Rs 1,83,900

The R15 has remained unchanged in all other areas. It is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled engine with a variable valve actuation system that churns out 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. It is the most feature-loaded offering in this segment sporting goodies like a traction control system and a quick shifter (in select variants). There are premium cycle parts too like upside-down front forks and an aluminium swingarm. The R15 mainly competes against the KTM RC 125 in India which costs Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
