- 2023 Yamaha X Force breaks cover
- Gets a 155cc engine like R15
- Will not be launched in India
Yamaha has updated and launched the 2023 X Force scooter in its home country, Japan.
The scooter gets a minor update for the new model year in the form of a low seat as standard. This version ‘sits’ above the regular variant of the Yamaha X Force but comes with a seat height 30mm lesser.
Now the X Force is a sporty looking maxi-scooter with a front end like the Yamaha Tracer GT sport touring motorcycle. The rear end, on the other hand, is similar to the Aerox 155 we have in India. Speaking of which, the X Force also uses the same, Yamaha R15-derived 155cc, single-cylinder engine as the Aerox. However, with few changes, the engine on the scooters is mated to an automatic gearbox but comes with the VVA technology for better performance and efficiency.
Yamaha is offering the scooter in a choice of four interesting colour schemes. There is Matte Dark Grayish Leaf Green Metallic, Matte Dark Purplish Blue Metallic with red wheels, Bluish White Pearl and Black Metallic X. While this scooter is an interesting proposition and would come as a good alternative to the Aerox 155, Yamaha will not be launching it in India since the X Force, like most products is limited to the Japanese market only.
