The Yamaha R15M has received a new carbon fibre pattern option in addition to the silver colour it has so far been available. The bike was showcased earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Expo and here is what is new.
New Carbon Fibre Pattern bodywork
The Yamaha R15M gets the front fairing, side fairing and tail panels in the Carbon Fibre Pattern bodywork. The company adds that this pattern was achieved using hydro dipping technology to give the plastic bodypanels a carbon fibre style appearance. The finish is close to what actual carbon fibre looks like on the R1M superbike. Yamaha has left the fuel tank and bottom part of the side fairing in silver to add contrast and the bike looks very appealing on the whole.
Navigation
Turn-by-turn navigation is a feature that has become available in a lot of two-wheelers these days and it was about time the Yamaha R15 got it. Well, the R15M finally gets this feature and it should be pretty useful for those who want to refrain from using handlebar mounts for their phones. The TFT also allows music and volume control which makes it easy to switch music being played using a Bluetooth headset that's attached to the helmet, without the need to take your hands off the handlebars.
Price
The price of the R15M in the Carbon Fibre Pattern bodywork is Rs 2.08 lakh which makes it the most expensive variant of the bike.
