- 2021 Yamaha Aerox 155 unveiled in Thailand
- Gets sharper styling
- Unlikely to be launched in India
Yamaha has launched the 2021 Aerox 155 scooter in Thailand for 78,500 baht which is an equivalent of Rs 1.90 lakh.
Now as part of the update, the Aerox 155 get a few revisions to its styling. The front end, for instance, is sharper than before and comes with a more aggressive design for the full-LED headlamp and DRLs. Even the turn signals that flank the headlamp are now sharper. Moreover, Yamaha has also redesigned the tail section and fitted a LED tail lamp and increase the fuel tank capacity from 4.6 to 5.5 litres. The 2021 Yamaha Aerox 155 also gets a new LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity that allows for call and message alerts.
Apart from these features, the Yamaha Aerox 155 continues to offer a smart key, USB charger and 25-litres of underseat storage as well. There are no changes to its engine and mechanicals either. The scooter comes powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine similar to the one on the R15 V3. Although, the motor on the Aerox 155 makes do with a CVT rather than a six-speed gearbox.
While the Yamaha Aerox 155 is a tempting proposition for a scooter, it is unlikely to make its way to India as the company would not be able to price it competitively.
