We all have heard about the TV marketing campaign about how maggi is prepared in just two minutes. Well, Yamaha has something for you in 3 minutes.Yamaha officials have claimed that they assemble the recently launched R25 in just 3 minutes.
Eko Prabowo, general manager, marketing communications & community development PT, Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) says that after all the components of the motorcycle are in place, the workshop engineers assemble one R25 in just three minutes. Currently, the quarter litre motorcycle is being manufactured at Yamaha’s Pulogadung plant in east Jakarta, Indonesia. The Japanese manufacturer planned to export the bike from this plant but it was postponed to due heavy demand in the Indonesian market.
Pitted as a superbike you can ride every day, the YZF R25 is powered by an eight-valve 250cc four-stroke parallel-twin engine. The liquid-cooled DOHC engine produces 35.5bhp at 12,000rpm and 22.1Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm through a six-speed manual gearbox.
While India Yamaha Motors did not really speak up on the R25, the only announcement from the Indian arm came few months ago, where it said it will launch the bike in India next year and would like to start earning revenue as soon as possible.
