- Yamaha R3 priced at Rs 4.65 lakh
- Offered two paint schemes
- Powered by a 321cc, parallel-twin engine
Yamaha recently launched the R3 in India, nearly three years after it took it off the shelves in 2019. And if you are interested to buy the motorcycle, you have two colour options to choose from.
First up is the Yamaha Black option. Dressed in stealthy attire, the Yamaha R3 also gets full black bodywork and components. However, only a few parts like the forks, heel plate, levers and bolts are done in silver and add contrast. That said, it also gets the R3 logo in white on the side panels. You can also get the KTM RC 390-rival in the iconic Yamaha Blue colour option. This paint scheme combines blue with black and has the R3 logo in a light blue shade on the panels. Well, the 17-inch wheels are offered in blue on this colour option.
Powering the Yamaha R3 is a 321cc, parallel-twin engine that puts out 40.4bhp and 29.4Nm. This units is mated to a six-speed gearbox as standard. While it does get a slipper clutch, it misses out on a quickshifter. That said, the Yamaha R3 seems underequipped compared to its rivals- the KTM RC 390 and the TVS Apache RR 310 since it only has an LED headlamp, dual-channel ABS and an LCD instrument cluster on offer. As for hardware, the motorcycle gets USD forks an a monoshock at the rear while braking is done by discs at both ends with ABS.
