The YZF-R3 has been taken off Yamaha’s official website until it receives its due upgrade to BS-IV emission norms. Officials, however, have promised the return of the R3 with the mandatory upgrade, soon.
The Yamaha YZF-R3, being a CKD (completely knocked down) product, is locally assembled in India. Production of the R3, however, is at halt for now until the Japanese manufacturer comes up with the required upgrade. No other technical changes will be made to the motor or other components. The bike will still make 41bhp at 10,750rpm and 30Nm torque at 9,000rpm.
