Yamaha has showcased the 2023 R3 to dealers recently suggesting that the motorcycle could be launched in the country soon. So before you prep to buy the R3 when it arrives, let us tell you everything that you need to know about the KTM RC 390 competitor.
Yamaha R3 Launch timeline and expected pricing
Let’s get right to the meat of the topic: the expected pricing of the Yamaha R3 in India. To put things into perspective, the motorcycle was priced at Rs 3.51 lakh, ex-showroom before being discontinued in 2019. With the updates that the motorcycle has received over the years in international markets, we can also expect an uptick in price. So, a pricing of around Rs 4 lakh would be ideal. With that said, Yamaha is likely to launch the 2023 R3 in India during the festive season around October-November with bookings expected to begin in July.
Yamaha R3 Styling
As compared to the previous version’s design, the 2023 R3 is more aerodynamic. It might not be as aggressive as its bigger siblings and is closer in styling to the older-gen R1. The motorcycle comes with a full-fairing that features split headlamps with an air-intake in between. Then there is the split seat setup with a sharp tail section.
Yamaha R3 Features
As for features, the R3 comes with a dual-channel ABS, an LCD instrument clutser and LED lighting for the headlamp and tail lamp. Moreover, it also is equipped with upside down forks that come with golden fork bottles. But when compared to its rivals, the KTM RC 390 and Ninja 400, the R3 only has decent equipment.
Yamaha R3 Engine and hardware
Now, the Yamaha R3’s engine hasn’t changed much since 2019. It comes with a 321cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that is good for 40.4bhp and 29.4Nm. As for hardware, the motorcycle comes with upside down forks up front, a monoshock and discs at both ends with ABS.
