- Expexted to be price between Rs 58,000 and Rs 60,000
Yamaha had showcased a decked-up version of the Ray ZR, christened as the Street Rally edition, at the Auto Expo, earlier this year. Now, the Japanese manufacturer has released a teaser hinting that its launch is right around the corner.
The Ray ZR Street Rally edition is based on the Ray ZR, although it gets a host of visual upgrades. It is finished in a black paint scheme with racy decals and colour-coordinated six-spoke alloy wheels. It even gets a digital instrument console in place of the analoue unit un the regular ZR.
Under the skin, the Ray ZR Street Rally gets the same 113cc single-cylinder petrol engine, which develops 7bhp and 8Nm of torque. The Ray ZR is available in two versions – drum and disc, although the Street Rally edition might be offered only with a disc brake.
With prices starting at just over Rs 56,000 for the existing top-of-the-line variant, we expect the Street Rally to coast between Rs 58,000 and Rs 60,000 (ex-showroom). It will compete against the Honda Dio.
