Yamaha has recalled its quarter-litre bikes, the FZ25 and the Fazer 25. The recall is related to engine head cover bolt.
Yamaha says that 23,987 bikes are a part of this recall. The company is in the process of notifying affected customers. The customers will be asked to bring their bikes to the nearest service centre. The technicians will look at the bikes and fix the head cover boot loosening issue at no additional costs.
Launched in early 2017, the FZ25 is priced at Rs 1.19 lakh and has been developed to cater to the country's growing demand of premium bikes. The Fazer 25 which was launched just a few months ago, is based on the FZ25 and shares most of the cycle parts from its naked sibling. It's priced at Rs 1.22 lakh and is positioned as a tourer.
