Yamaha has announced a 20 per cent growth in sales numbers in February 2017 as compared to the same period in 2016. With this, the company has cemented its position as the fourth largest two wheeler manufacturer in the domestic market.
Yamaha is one of the few manufacturers whose growth hasn't been affected by demonetisation. The Japanese manufacturer sold 68,095 two wheelers in the domestic market in the last month as opposed to the 56,690 units it had managed in February 2016. While the fuel-injected FZ series continues to be the top seller in Yamaha’s portfolio, the Fascino and the Ray ZR have also played a major role in the company’s growth.
Last month, the company launched the FZ25 to attract customers looking for a quarter-litre streetfighter. We recently rode the FZ25 in Goa, you can read our first tide review over here.
