- Upgraded with Unified Braking System
- New colour shades and stylish graphics
- Hike in price depending on the model and variant
India Yamaha Motor has updated its portfolio in the 110cc and 125cc segment by launching the Saluto RX and Saluto 125 with Unified Braking System (UBS). Similar to the combined braking system offered by other two-wheeler manufacturers in the country, the UBS partially applies the front brake simultaneously during complete application of the rear brake. The system provides improved braking control due to the intensified braking force, according to Yamaha.
Apart from the UBS update, the Saluto RX and Saluto 125 (both drum and disc variants) receive cosmetics updates which include four new colour shades with corresponding new graphics giving the motorcycles a refreshed look.
Mechanically, both motorcycles remain identically the same. The Saluto RX is powered by an 110cc air-cooled 2-valve unit that produces 7.7bhp and 8.5Nm. The Saluto 125, on the other hand, gets a 125cc air-cooled 2-valve mill generating 8.1bhp and 10.1Nm. Both motorcycles come paired to a 4-speed gearbox.
The addition of UBS and new colour palate has inflicted an increase in prices for both motorcycles. The Saluto RX is now priced at Rs 52,000 which is now costlier by Rs 3779. While the Saluto 125 is priced at Rs 58,800 (drum variant) with a hike of Rs 3636 and Rs 60,500 (disc variant) with a hike of Rs 4402. (All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi)
