Most of us know about the recent introduction of fuel-injection in the FZ and Fazer series along with Yamaha’s new Blue core technology. Now we have managed to get the picture of the new SZ-RR, which is rumoured to get the Blue core technology without fuel-injection though.
The Blue core technology is a set of rules that the Japanese manufacturer has developed to help them follow lightweight construction which directly increases the fuel -efficiency. During the launch of the FZ-S FI 2.0, Yamaha had announced to use the Blue core technology even in their carburetted products and the SZ-RR is one of the first ones to get it. The official power figures are not yet out but we can expect the power and torque numbers to go down marginally.
Other than these mechanical changes, the Yamaha SZ-RR gets few cosmetic additions as well. The dual tone paint jobs along with new decals are the major ones. It also gets a smoked windscreen, aluminium finish grab rail and 3D emblem to give it a premium look.
We are expecting the Yamaha SZ-RR to be launched anytime soon to cash on the festive season. Prices are not yet know n but it is bound to go up marginally.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details on the Yamaha SZ-RR.
