Yamaha is finally getting the YZF-R3 back to the Indian market. The company has released a teaser image on its official Facebook page.
The company had discontinued the YZF-R3 early last year as it didn’t have the BS-IV variant ready. But it looks like the Japanese manufacturer is ready with a 2018 variant for the Indian market. The 2018 version gets cosmetic updates only in the form of three new colours, raven, team Yamaha blue and vivid red.
The 2018 version for the Indian market will also have a BS-IV compliant motor. While there are no concrete evidence in power reduction, we believe the 321cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled motor will continue to churn out around 41bhp and peak torque of 29.6Nm.
Yamaha is likely to price the 2018 edition a bit higher than its older model. But it will be definitely be priced lower than the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
