Yamaha recently announced the Rally Edition of its middleweight adventure motorcycle, the Tenere 700. The Rally Edition packs several upgrades over the standard model. Here we bring you a detailed image gallery of the new Yamaha Tenere 700 Rally Edition.
The new Tenere 700 Rally Edition celebrates the achievements of Yamaha's Dakar riders and their machines. The special blue and yellow livery pay homage to the Yamaha race bikes ridden by JCO and Serge Bacou in the 1983 and 1884 editions of the Dakar rally. The special colours are exclusive to the Rally Edition.
The Rally Edition packs added protection in the form of the heavy-duty skid plate, aluminium radiator protector and a laser-cut aluminium chain guard.
The new variant of the Tenere 700 also features one-piece Rally Seat that provides 20mm higher riding position at 895mm.
The handlebar on the Rally Edition comes equipped with off-road grips that are designed to work in dusty or muddy conditions.
Yamaha has also added special rubber grip pads as standard on the Rally Edition. These pads are designed to provide added knee and inner thigh grip to the rider.
The motorcycle is fitted with an Akrapovič slip-on muffler. This exhaust is fitted with carbon heat shields.
Yamaha has also developed a range of optional accessories for the Tenere 700 Rally Edition. The range includes comfort, functional and performance accessories. Buyers can either purchase each part individually or opt for specially developed accessory packs.
The Yamaha Tenere 700 Rally Edition will be available at Yamaha dealerships in Europe in July 2020.
